Scary Facebook Adverts

Okay, so if we're going to have advertising, I think it should be well-targeted (the reason I hate TV ads so much is mostly because they're always for utterly irrelevant crap.)

On the other hand, I was just shown three adverts by Facebook.

The first was for a Gene Hunt T-shirt. This may have been because I have "Life on Mars" in my Facebook profile's interests. Fair enough, and quite relevant, and I might even be happy to buy one.

The second was an ad for a recruitment agency, which was targeting Warwick graduates. I can see how they might have made that connection, too.

It's the third advert that's worrying me. The one for The Belgravia Centre. "The UK's leading hair loss clinic."

Don't tell me: the bastards are doing baldness-recognition on the profile photos now, aren't they?
